Mexico...Solmar Beach, Evening.

Solmar Suites, Cabo San Lucas. What can I say about this place.....................It has been a dream of mine for quite a while to stay at this place. It is right at the end of the Baja California Sur peninsular at "lands end" where the big rock arch is and is about as "on the beach" as you could ever get.
The last balcony in this photo is the last piece of real estate in Baja.

This shot was taken from our balcony just after sunset. The ocean you see here is the Pacific, go about 100 meters past this building and around the corner and you are in the Sea of Cortez, we walked up there today and went for a swim, it was perfect and (dam hot). I will try to add more later on this pic.....it's happy hour at the beach bar again, gotta go.

California.....The Girls.

Terri and Wendy going out to the lake for the morning walk in Terri's "shopping trolley" the mercedes, yes..............this family truly do appreciate fine cars.

Lamborghini......

One more pic of the beast. !

Lamborghini......

Samara on her way out in the Lamborghini......

California.....

One very fine piece of machinery leaving Brent and Terri's driveway with Wendy in the passenger's seat and about to get the thrill of a lifetime........apparently she was oooohhh, oooohhhhing most of the way which Samara and I have worked out is half pure excitement and half terror.... I think Brent took her up to about 180 -200 kph, and he did absolutely kick it through the gears and the G force would litterally push you straight back into the seat.....a lot of fun and a new respect for the art of a very fast car. When I was in this with Brent he went from a touch over 100mph to a dead stop in what felt like about 10 meters....the braking and accelleration capabilities of this thing were unbelievable.

California.....

The Viper, with Brent smoking it up. We went out into an industrial estate to give this car and the Lamborghini a bit of a workout...and hell, was it fun. Brent also took Wendy and Samara for a spin in them, so in all we all got our hit of adrenalin for the day.........I have to say that this beast was certainly a lot of fun....raw, brutal muscle and all the more exciting with the top off, but the Lamborghini won all of us over.......what a piece of machinery. that photo up next.

California.....

Kristi and Terri.......sisters, and hilarious ones at that.

California.....

The view at night from our Californian hosts and good friends Terri ,Brent and family. I have known Terri for about 25 years now when I met her, Kristi and Larry on my last trip here.
We were really spoilt rotten whilst staying here and really appreciated everything that was done for us and the way we were looked after.........we had a great party thrown last sunday for us and had a ball.

Just to the right of the pool in this picture, we had our own self contained guest house which was absolute luxury for us, especially after all the camping we have been doing.........on top of that there were the rides in the very expensive, and powerful toys of which I will post a few pics of very soon.

Wendy here, while Mal has lunch. Terri, Brent & family live in Poway, just near Escondido, southern California. It is a desert like environment but well watered gardens and public areas.
It is a comfortable area and close to beautiful beaches like Carlsbad, Luecadia, Encinitas and Del Mar in case any of you want to look it up. These are all surfing beaches so Mal was pretty pleased. The pool at Terri and Brent's had a jacuizzi (spa in our language) and the wet edge looked as though it was falling off into the canyon. It also had a slide into the pool and waterfall that could be jumped off. Terri and Brent had 3 great kids. Chase (14 year old boy). Samara and I went to a high school American Football Game which was very interesting. They laughed when I called in "footy", Riley (10 year old girl) who became good friends with Samara as she does gymnastics, Nash (5 year old) who is a "cute as heck" and a chatterbox.

It's Mal back again after lunch, but instead of ranting on more on this pic, I'll blog up another one and go on that.
